The Poor Clare Monastery in Consolacion, Cebu

 

This is a Novus Ordo Second Order Franciscan monastery located in Tayud, Consolacion, Cebu. The monastery was constructed in the early 1970s. Even if this is under the Vatican II sect, this is a good pilgrimage site for traditionalists who want to visit Cebu. It is just near the Mactan Airport. I prayed in the monastery chapel thanking St. Francis and St. Clare for a sedevacantist mass in Cebu.

Santo Nino de Cebu, patron of Cebu. His shrine is another recommended for Trads visiting Cebu

Pedro Calungsod, young martyr of the Visayas. He served as a catechist in Guam where he was martyred in 1672.

Venerable Mother Jeronima, a Poor Clare nun from Spain who served in the Philippines in the 1600s.

Father Leandro Moran, OSA

 He was my grandmother's priest in the 1950s. My grandmother used to attend the Latin Mass with him in the Santo Nino Church. He used to be the former parish priest of Bolhoon in Southern Cebu from 1922 - 1948 and was assigned in the Santo Nino Church from 1948 until his death in 1979. When Our Lady struck Amaterasu - A Liberation day special

                     During the liberation of Catholic Philippines, Our Lady, (right) gave a terrible blow to the Japanese sun goddess or demon, Amaterasu (left) who victimized many Catholics during the WW2 and during the persecution of Catholics in Tokugawa Japan from the 1500s to the 1600s.  ''For all the gods of the Gentiles are devils: but the Lord made the heavens.'' Psalm 95:5 On March 26, 1945, 80 years ago, American forces liberated Cebu from Japanese tyranny. They landed on Cansujong Beach, Talisay on March 26, 1945, thus liberating Cebu from the Japanese. 5 months earlier, Gen.
