Original character design of one of my characters

Hello there.

I am taking a hiatus from blogging for a while, especially that there has been no traditionalist priest visiting our house, and I have other works to do, especially the topic I am doing many things aside from praying the rosary.

The artwork I am showing you is an artwork of an OC (original character) I made. She is a Filipina character for an upcoming project I am using to make a story set during the Spanish colonial era. The reason why I set most of my stories during the Spanish colonial era (1565 - 1898) is because most Disney Classic stories are set during the past and not modern eras. I grew up with many classic Disney films, and this is what inspired me in my early adulthood to make cartoons that reflect our Traditional Catholic and Filipino heritage.

In the photo, my Filipina character is wearing a veil, a white shirt, a striped dress/skirt, a scapular (brown scapular?) with the words ''M'' meaning for Virgin Mary. She is shown holding a rosary.

Disney does not depict their characters like this because they are so secular, as compared to our heritage in which it is 78 percent Catholic. I even asked when I was in Grade 3 in 2014 why there are not even religious symbols in Disney (think of Hunchback of Notre Dame).

Anyway, here is my cartoon character that reflects traditional values as opposed to the modernist values of Disney, especially for the American readers of this blog or those who grew up with Disney.
