The heresies of ''Eastern Orthodoxy''

Note: This is my first take on apologetics. While I post and mostly admire on historical research, this is my jab after I tried to explain the heresies of ''Orthodoxy'' on Introibo's blog.

While I appreciate the Eastern Rites of the church, specifically listening to Eastern chants like the cherubic hymn, and I also have icons like icons of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Kazan, Pochaev and the Christ Pantocrator, and even the Holy Mandylion of Edessa, but unfortunately, most of them are into heresy, like in the case of the 1054 schism.

So the ''Orthodox'' are more than just schismatics from 1054 onwards, they deny the Filioque (which everyone knows), papal infallibility, and the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady.

The story starts when a man named Bardas was denied Holy communion by the patriarch of Constantinople, St. Ignatius and because of this, Ignatius was deposed, and a fake patriarch named Photius was installed in his place. He then persuaded the Pope Nicholas that Ignatius was deposed of his old age, but the pope saw all of their deceit and condemned Photius. Photius rallied against the papacy because he was sent by a Frank and accused of adding the Filioque to the Nicene Creed. He then excommunicated Pope Nicholas and the whole Latin world. But then, Photius was nearing his downfall. The Emperor was murdered in 867, and Basil, the new emperor put Photius in prison, putting back Ignatius in power. After Ignatius died in 877, Photius became the patriarch once more, but broke again with the papacy, and was excommunicated. Eventually, Emperor Leo banished him to a monastery in Armenia where he died.

Eventually, in 1054, the schism happened when the pope and Patriarch Michael Cerularius excommunicated each other. Constantinople would later fall to the Muslims in 1453.

Denial of Papal Infallibility and Immaculate Conception

Not only do they deny the Filioque, they also deny Papal infallibility, the Immaculate Conception and of course, Purgatory. There is proof of Purgatory, especially when you see the museum of Poor Souls who manifested in many ways like putting a burnt hand on cloth. Our Lady of Good Success in Quito, Ecuador also prophesied the dogma of the infallibility of the pope and the dogma of the Immaculate Conception. And for my foreign readers, the patron saint of the Philippines is the Immaculate Conception, hence the name of the Philippines is ''Pueblo Amante de Maria''. And to conclude, lets compare the Russian Orthodox missionaries in Alaska with that of the Spanish and French Catholic missionaries. Russia only evangelized Siberia and Alaska, with numerous Orthodox churches formed by diaspora rather than evangelizing. France and Spain evangelized New France, parts of Africa, Latin America and the Philippines, much more than what the Russian Orthodox did. While 5 million people in Europe lost the Catholic faith to Protestantism, 9 million Aztec Indians converted to the Catholic faith as a miracle of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

And regarding Russia, Our Lady at Fatima tells about the conversion of Russia and her consecration to her Immaculate Heart. For me, this means that Russia will convert to Catholicism, and despise all her Bolshevik errors.

I wish I can attend a Byzantine Catholic mass because I admire the Eastern rites so much, but here are two problems, most are compromised with Vatican II, and the Byzantine rite is not native to the Philippines, and we are only used to the Latin rite because of Spanish influence.
